Accessibility Statement

Tjabo Digital is committed to ensuring that ScribePress is accessible to all users, including those with disabilities. We aim to conform to the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 Level AA, as defined by the World Wide Web Consortium (W3C).

Our Commitment

We believe that digital accessibility is a right, not a privilege. Our ongoing efforts to improve accessibility include:

• Designing and building with accessibility in mind from the outset;
• Providing keyboard navigation throughout the interface;
• Ensuring sufficient colour contrast ratios (minimum 4.5:1 for normal text, 3:1 for large text);
• Providing text alternatives for non-text content;
• Supporting screen readers through semantic HTML and ARIA attributes;
• Offering a skip navigation link to bypass repeated content;
• Respecting user preferences for reduced motion;
• Ensuring all interactive elements are focusable and have visible focus indicators;
• Making forms and inputs fully operable without a mouse.

Conformance Status

ScribePress is partially conformant with WCAG 2.1 Level AA. Partially conformant means that some parts of the content do not fully conform to the standard. We are actively working to address known gaps.

Known Limitations

Despite our best efforts, some content may not yet fully meet WCAG 2.1 AA requirements. Known limitations include:

• AI-generated content displayed in the platform may not always include appropriate alternative text for any embedded images, as this depends on the output of third-party AI models.
• Some complex data visualisations (e.g., sparkline charts in the Rank Tracker) provide limited information to screen readers. We are working to add text-based alternatives.
• Third-party authentication providers (Google Sign-In) are outside our direct control and may have their own accessibility considerations.

Technical Approach

ScribePress uses the following technologies to support accessibility:

• Semantic HTML5 elements (landmarks, headings, lists, tables)
• WAI-ARIA roles and attributes where native HTML is insufficient
• CSS media queries for prefers-reduced-motion and prefers-color-scheme
• Logical focus management on dynamic content updates
• Next.js App Router for server-rendered, progressively enhanced pages

Formal Complaints

If you are not satisfied with our response to your accessibility concern, you have the right to file a complaint with the relevant national enforcement body in your country. In the European Union, you may contact your national accessibility authority. In the United States, you may file a complaint with the U.S. Department of Justice regarding ADA Title III compliance.

Assessment Approach

Tjabo Digital assessed the accessibility of ScribePress through self-evaluation during development. We plan to commission an independent third-party audit as the platform scales. This statement was prepared on June 12, 2025.
